Fans Suspect KATSEYE Manon’s Hiatus Due To Alleged Racial Discrimination Is Just A PR Stunt!
On April 7, NYLON released its 2026 Music Issue cover featuring all six members of KATSEYE. The cover quickly went viral among fans, known as Eyekons, as many felt excited and happy to see the full group of six together.
Questions quickly arose about the timing of this photoshoot. The group had announced Manon’s temporary hiatus on February 20 so she could focus on her health. Since then, all promotions for the new single Pinky Up have only shown the remaining five members Sophia, Lara, Daniela, Megan, and Yoonchae. The teaser also featured the five members, and Manon even took KATSEYE out of her Instagram bio.
Many fans pointed out that the magazine photos were probably taken several months earlier. This led some to suspect the cover was released now on purpose to create hype before Coachella.
