It’s rare to find actors who genuinely believe in meaningful projects like 12th Fail and Haseen Dillruba which also reach the masses. Vikrant Massey is one of a kind. But he broke our hearts when he announced his retirement from acting at 37. The internet was shocked at this news as the actor was at the peak of his career. While many celebs like Dia Mirza and Medha Shankr expressed shock over the news, the internet also had similar reactions.

Internet Reacts To Vikrant Massey’s Retirement

On November 2, Monday, Vikrant Massey announced his retirement and the internet went into chaos. From Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor commenting, “What????? Sonu!! No 😢 you are one of the very few real actors we have left!!!!!!” to Medha Shankr commenting, “???? What?”

The internet was shocked too. One user commented, “Why do you want to become the next Imran Khan of Bollywood” while another one said, “Bro you are at peak…why do you think like this” Many were concerned about losing a gem of an actor in the industry so the commented, “Why would you that..? There are hardly any actors like you. We need some good cinema.”

More On His Retirement

On Monday morning, Vikrant Massey posted a message to his fans on social media. In this, he thanked everyone for giving him such a fantastic few years as an actor, as well as for their support. Vikrant Massey, on the other hand, has opted to retire from the film industry to return home. Vikrant also aspires to carry on the roles of father, son, and husband. But, well, he’s always been an actor!

Vikrant Massey’s final film will be released in 2025, and according to the actor, it will be his last appearance on the big screen. Vikrant was also grateful that his last two films had done so well. He concluded the statement with numerous thank yous to his supporters and the phrase “Forever indebted”.
