India’s Got Latent Row: Supreme Court Stays Ranveer Allahbadia’s Arrest, Orders No More FIRs To Be Filed Against Him
Following the scandal on India's Got Latent, FIRs were filed against Ranveer Allahbadia in Maharashtra and Assam.

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia aka BeerBiceps has landed himself in legal trouble after he remarked on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. In recent updates, the Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed his arrest after FIRs against him in Maharashtra, Assam, and Rajasthan for obscene and vulgar remarks. This was after Allahbadia moved the court to club several FIRs and sought interim protection.
Supreme Court On Ranveer Allahbadia’s Case
Though the court allowed interim protection, but directed Ranveer Allahbadia to cooperate with the probe in all the cases. They also refrained from doing any other show for the time being. The bench was also critical of his remarks and conduct on the show. “The words you have chosen, parents will feel ashamed. Daughters and sisters will feel ashamed. The entire society will be ashamed. These are the levels of depravity you and your henchmen have gone.”

The contentious episode aired recently and showed the show’s panel, including Allahbadia, comedian Samay Raina, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, and others, using obscene language on multiple occasions. Following the scandal, FIRs were filed against Allahbadia in Maharashtra and Assam, respectively. He then approached the Supreme Court under Article 32.

The Apex court said, “Such behaviour has to be condemned. Just because you are popular, you cannot take society for granted. Is there anyone on earth who would like this language?” The court said that something dirty had been vomited from his mouth and further questioned his words.
