Indian celebrities turning politicians is not new, and many of them have made a flourishing career in politics. In recent days, we saw many well-known celebs join the current ruling party, Bhartiya Janata Party and the latest actor among them is Heeramandi star Shekhar Suman. Here’s a list of all the other actors who have also turned politicians.
Shekhar Suman
Heeramandi star Shekhar Sumar joined the Bhartiya Janata Party and the news made headlines on May 7, Tuesday. In his official statement, Shekhar Suman revealed that he had no idea about this until yesterday. The actor further stated that he has joined the party with a ‘positive outlook’ and looks forward to working with them.

Rupali Ganguly
A few days back, the Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly also joined the Bhartiya Janata Party. She flew to Delhi for the official ceremony and expressed her gratitude for joining the party.
