The 2000s decade will surely be one of the most remembered and loved periods of Hindi cinema. During this time, many actors including Imran Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and more made their debuts. The fact remains that these stars still rule our hearts. It is worth noting that in recent years nepotism and people openly commenting on an actor’s work have become frequent. Now, touching up on it, Imran Khan revealed his own thoughts on the said topic and also praised his contemporary Ranbir Kapoor!

Imran Khan Praises Ranbir Kapoor

Imran Khan had a chat with News 18 during which he said that while nepotism is discussed most of the time, it becomes a talking point when an actor’s quality of work comes into question. He made sure to say that it’s the talent that is responsible for an artist’s credibility and longevity in the industry. While talking about Ranbir Kapoor, Imran stated that the actor belongs to the film royalty, adding that his family “founded” the film industry. He expressed that the Barfi star is a “fantastic” actor and no one has any complaints about that. According to Imran, the problem occurs when people don’t like the quality of an actor’s work. The I Hate Luv Stories star stated that if the audience doesn’t think that the actor or the filmmaker is good, they will criticise them very rightly.

Furthermore, Imran said that the conversation around nepotism has increased, driven by the increasing number of people becoming a part of the industry and the volume of content. He reportedly mentioned that the visibility has increased due to the production of more films and web/TV shows, which has led to a wider range of opinions on talent and opportunity and greater scrutiny.
