If there is one actor who has been honest with his opinions on certain matters in the Hindi film fraternity, it’s definitely Imran Khan! He did the same when he reportedly answered his fans’ questions during the Ask Me Anything session on social media. During the same, he was requested not to portray hypermasculine type roles onscreen. His answer to this has got many wondering if he took a jab at Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal!

Imran Khan Doesn’t Want To Play Hyper-Masculine Roles

Imran Khan reportedly answered fans’ questions during an Ask Me Anything session on the Reddit platform. During the same time, a fan requested him not to transition to doing the macho roles. To this, Imran answered that he was not interested in playing a hairy, angry man who is covered in blood. According to him, that genre is generously represented. It’s worth noting that the actor did not take anyone’s name as an example while answering the fan. However, despite that, many were quick to speculate that he was probably talking about Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. A user penned, “Ranbirveer shadeeee (rightfully) (sorry I am being messy).”

What Else Did He Say

During the session, a fan asked Imran Khan about his take on the changing shift of a leading man. A lot of Bollywood actors are very loud and aggressive, who glorify violence and problematic behaviour towards women. The fan continued asking Imran if this was just a phase or a bigger change in storytelling and if he saw space for more grounded, sensitive male characters to return.

To this, Imran reportedly revealed noticing the trend and being disturbed by how such films coddle every violent tantrum thrown by emotionally immature man-children who can’t conceive of a valid reason that a woman might spurn their advances. He stated that it was worth noting that there’s a significant difference between portraying violence and toxicity and validating them. The actor mentioned witnessing it as people chasing a trend without consideration. While talking about himself, Imarn shared that his own sensibilities would not permit him to participate in a narrative that he considers to be irresponsible.

We truly appreciated Imran Khan for keeping it real in front of his fans!
