ILLIT’s Agency Announces Legal Action Against Stalkers Breaching Member’s Privacy
BELIFT LAB also asked fans to report any bad behaviour they notice.
People stalking K-pop idols has always been a big problem online. Now, ILLIT’s company, BELIFT LAB, has promised to take strong legal steps against stalkers. On January 9, 2026, the agency released an official statement and warned that anyone illegally obtaining personal information about ILLIT members and putting their safety at risk will face serious consequences. Read on to know more!
It all started after ILLIT came back from overseas. Some of the members had private plans before flying home to Korea. To protect them, the company secretly changed their airport and flight times. But some stalkers still found out the new details quickly and went to the new airport and followed the members. A few even tried to get close, talk to them, and ask for photos without permission. This made the members feel scared and uncomfortable.

The agency’s biggest concern is how the changes got leaked so fast. Only the members and a handful of staff knew the new plan. Yet, the information spread right away. This points to a major privacy problem, maybe from hacking or someone sharing it. BELIFT LAB is now asking the airline to check who looked at the flight records to find the source of the leak.
BELIFT LAB has warned before that tracking artists’ private details is wrong and are now collecting evidence and will take legal action against the stalkers. The agency also asked fans to report any bad behaviour they notice. Stalking has caused pain to many artists in the past, and actions like this send a strong message.
