The audience takes debut films very seriously, and the new actors are judged quite hard on that. There are countless examples of that, and the very recent one was Ibrahim Ali Khan in Nadaaniyan. The audience as well as the critics were not left impressed, neither with the story nor the performances. It also featured Khushi Kapoor. Months have gone by now, but Ibrahim Ali still has something to say about his debut film, and recently he accepted that the film was bad. Ibrahim Ali Khan on Nadaaniyan
The young actor is only two films old, after Nadaaniyan on Netflix, the actor also featured in another OTT release titled Sarzameen. During a recent interview with Esquire India, the actor spoke about his debut film and the harsh criticism it received from audience and critics alike. He accepted and agreed with the majority that his film was ‘really bad’. However, he was not happy with the trolling that came with it and opened up about the affect that it had on it. Ibrahim Ali Khan said that the audience was excited about his debut but in no time, that buzz went down with Nadaaniyan. He also opined on how many people trolled him by just seeing others troll him, and the actor did not like that.
During the interview, Ibrahim Ali Khan also accepted that he might have rushed into his debut film as he was just 21 when the shooting began. The actor opined that he might not have calculated the response to his debut and the effect it would have.
According to the interview, Ibrahim Ali Khan expects a reaction on the same scale if he ever gave a blockbuster in future.
