K-pop fans are currently on cloud nine with the news of HYBE planning to expand their office to Mumbai, India. Many believe this could finally pave the way for the much-awaited BTS concert in India. The agency also has many big names like TXT, Katseye and SEVENTEEN, the local expansion will increase the Korean culture influence in the country. The company aims to launch its subsidiary in the latter half of 2025.
HYBE Expands In India
On Monday, June 30, HYBE revealed its plans to launch a subsidiary in India. As per K-media, the company said, “We are currently carrying out local market research and managing the practical steps needed to establish the corporation, to launch around September or October.” This comes as a move from the chairman Bang Si Hyuk’s aim of bringing the K-pop production level to India’s 1.4 billion people.

He will be working directly on the ‘Multi-home, Multi-genre’ strategy. It aims to secure significant positions in local music markets by embracing and representing each region’s distinct culture and identity. Its biggest success to yet has been in the United States, when HYBE America’s girl group Catseye climbed on Billboard’s coveted ‘Hot 100’ chart in less than a year of their debut.
