HYBE Breaks Silence On BTS V’s Private Messages Being Used By Min Hee Jin In ILLIT Plagiarism Case
On February 20, news came out that private KakaoTalk messages between BTS’s V, also known as Kim Taehyung, and Min Hee-jin, the former head of ADOR, had been used as evidence. These old messages were part of a long legal fight between Min Hee-jin and HYBE. V did not stay quiet. He posted on his Instagram story right away to explain things. He said the chats were just normal conversations between two people who had known each other for a long time. In the messages, he had shown some understanding when Min Hee-jin talked about feeling upset. He made it clear he never wanted to support one side over the other in any argument. V felt very shocked and angry that these private words were shared in court without anyone asking him or getting his permission first.
HYBE, the company that manages BTS, also spoke to the media outlet OSEN on the same day. They said the conversation was only a friendly one between people who were close. V’s replies were meant to show he cared and understood her feelings as a friend, not to agree with everything she said or to take her side.
