How This Legal Loophole Could Let D4vd Walk Free In Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s Death Investigation

It has been a few months since the harrowing death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez came to light. The body of the 15-year-old girl was found in the back of a Tesla, which was later revealed to be registered under D4vd’s name. D4vd is an American singer who gained popularity for his songs, ‘Here With Me’ and ‘Romantic Homicide’. The investigation into Celeste’s murder has been ongoing for a few months; however, no suspect has been revealed yet. A new revelation recently made in the case, however, indicates that there is a chance that if convicted, D4vd may not face a serious punishment by authorities for his link to the victim. Read on to know more.

How D4vd Is Linked To Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s Death

The body of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was first discovered in the back of a Tesla in September. Since then, an investigation by the LAPD has been launched. Due to its gruesome nature and connection with D4vd, the case has piqued public interest. Internet users have presented several alleged pieces of evidence that connect Celeste to D4vd. Many also believe that the singer dated Hernandez.

Why He May Not Face Jail Time

However, new information suggests that if not convicted for murder, D4vd can actually walk away from the case with light consequences despite the victim’s body being found in his car. Because, according to California law, concealment of human remains is a misdemeanour, not a felony.

Misdemeanour is defined as a less serious crime, typically punishable by a fine or jail time of up to one year, while a felony is a more serious crime, punishable by imprisonment for over a year, or even life in prison or the death penalty in some cases.

The Los Angeles Police Department, however, has not made a recent statement in the case. A Private Investigator who was hired by D4vd’s former Hollywood Hills home owner claims to have found “farm tools” during his investigation. The detective explained that he found multiple tools usually used on farms, which could have been used to get rid of Celeste’s body.
