Ever since its announcement, fans have been excited to see what’s in the bag for them since the film is made on a whopping Rs 1300 Crore budget, which is just mind-blowing. During her recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show season 4, Priyanka Chopra addressed the rumours around her upcoming film Varanasi’s budget. She confirmed that the film reportedly has a whopping budget of Rs 1300 Crores, and after hearing this, many questions about her remuneration for the film started lingering, but Priyanka chose to stay silent. For those unaware, Varanasi is one of the most expensive Indian films ever produced. It stands second only to Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1, which is reportedly being made on a massive budget of Rs. 2000 crore.

That said, Varanasi leads the list within the Tollywood industry and is also SS Rajamouli’s most ambitious and high-budget project so far. As the playful exchange between Kapil Sharma and Priyanka Chopra went on, Kapil humorously asked whether any portion of the film’s reported Rs. 1300 crore budget would be used to create employment for the residents of the city, prompting Priyanka to burst into laughter.

He then went on to tease her further by asking if her inclusion in the upcoming project had pushed the budget higher, indirectly hinting at her hefty remuneration, to which she responded: “Are you trying to say that half the budget has gone into my bank account?” We love that this duo is back on our screens.
