With his deadpan sense of humor and on-screen presence, Dilip has become such a sensation that fans find themselves wondering, does he earn an extra fee for appearing in the videos?

Farah Khan On Paying Dilip For Her YouTube Videos

In her latest vlog, filmed at actor Shruti Haasan’s Mumbai home, Farah decided to address the curiosity head-on. The episode featured Farah and Dilip enjoying Shruti’s home-cooked sambar and dosa, while also getting a private performance from the actor on her piano.

During a light-hearted moment, Shruti asked the question many viewers have been dying to know: whether Dilip receives extra pay or royalties for appearing in the videos. Farah did not disclose the amount but indicated that his income is substantial, joking that he earns more than anybody else in the room. Shruti giggled, indicating they were just protecting Dilip’s interests, to which Farah humorously retorted that they should worry more about her.

The vlog also showed another interesting fact, Dilip has sung a song with music composer Shankar Mahadevan called Meri Pagar Badhao (Increase My Salary), a cheeky reference to his popularity.

Since launching her cooking show in 2024, Farah has had a string of celebrity visitors, from Kajol to Ananya Panday, to cook with Dilip. What started as a low-key kitchen venture soon grew into a warm, garrulous show on which Dilip’s own personality proved almost as big a hit as the food itself. His snappy humour and natural chemistry with visitors have turned him into a favorite among viewers.

Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan is preparing to star in her next action thriller Coolie, which is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and stars Rajinikanth. The big-ticket film, also starring Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and a brief appearance by Aamir Khan, is releasing on August 14. It will clash with War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, at the box office.
