The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3

During a chat with The Wrap, Jackie Chung said, “I think she just thinks Belly is ready to go, maybe feeling the nerves that some people feel before a wedding, but not that she has this confusion inside of her.” For the unversed, Conrad has been the only one who opened up about his feelings to Laurel and often sees her as one of the people he can talk to about his feelings for Belly. But as her Laurel, her daughter is just a young girl preparing for a major life step, which is marriage.

Jackie admitted that even though Laurel might have noticed the fear in Belly’s eyes before getting married, she found nervousness before walking down the aisle normal. She further mentioned that her character might not be aware that the wedding would not happen. She said that Belly’s decision about not marrying Jeremiah had to be her own and that Laurel could not have made it happen for her.
