On Wednesday, March 4, Honey Singh took to his Instagram stories and shared a video of what seemed to be from a restaurant. The clip showed him having a meal, and in the caption, he wrote, “All chill in Dubai. Super safe. Don’t believe in stupid rumours in the news.” Just a day before, he also shared a video from his recording studio in Dubai, looking calm and focused while being surrounded by his team. In the caption, he said, We’re safe in Dubai, guys. Working.”
For the unversed, joint strikes from Israel and the US led to the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khameini last week. After this, strikes from Iran targeted US bases in the Middle East, including the UAE and Doha. This sudden escalation threw the global aviation into chaos, with airports and airspace closures shutting down, leading to hundreds of flights being cancelled or diverted.

Amid ongoing tensions in the Gulf, the UAE’s civil aviation announced on Monday that it will begin operating’special flights’ throughout the country’s airports to allow trapped passengers to exit. Dubai Airports has stated that operations would resume in a limited capacity, with only a few flights permitted to run from Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC).
