Famous Hollywood actor known for his films like Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs, and a standout in Quentin Tarantino’s films, Michael Madsen has died at 66. He was found unresponsive in his Malibu house on Thursday morning and was declared dead soon after. He is presumed to have died of natural causes, and no foul play is suspected. His manager said that cardiac arrest was the apparent reason. Read to know more about it.

Michael Madsen, known for his stony appearance and quiet, occasionally dangerous demeanour, could play both a powerful villain, like in Kill Bill and a protagonist, as in 1995’s Species. He has done many credible films and shows that include The Hateful Eight, an impression in 1991’s Ridley Scott-directed hit Thelma & Louise, Donnie Brasco and Sin City. Michael also had an Indian film debut with actress Anushka Shetty and R Madhavan’s Telugu thriller Nishabdham.

With more than 320 credits on IMDB, Michael Madsen had 18 titles in development before his death. Following his death, Madsen’s reps stated that he had been “doing some incredible work with independent film, including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions, and Cookbook for Southern Housewives.

But having a stunning career didn’t give Madsen a fulfilling personal life. He was arrested last year over an alleged domestic battery misdemeanour after a fight with his wife,  DeAnna Madsen, as per Variety. He filed for divorce one year later. Madsen was arrested for DUI in 2019, his second in ten years, and was previously jailed in 2012 after a physical incident with his then-teenage son.
