Here’s Why Famous Rapper A$AP Rocky’s Neighbour Is Suing Him!

In a recent turn of events, famous rapper A$AP Rocky got involved in a lawsuit after a water leak from his NYC apartment reportedly damaged the unit below. His neighbour alleged that repairs in his apartment led to pipes bursting in December 2024, causing the water to flood his home. A$AP Rocky Gets Sued
The rapper’s neighbour claimed that they had to move out while repairs were being done, forcing him to spend extra money on a new place to live. As per reports, the neighbour is seeking a hefty amount of $1.1 million (Rs 97 crore) for property damage and some additional expenses. His team has not spoken about the situation yet, and the lawsuit aims to hold him, his contractor, and his condo board responsible for the inconvenience.

According to the complaint, the damage occurred when Rocky’s contractors worked on his unit. On December 23, multiple hot water pipes burst, allowing water to pour into homes below. The neighbouring unit, owned by Chez Ni LLC, claims that the leaks wrecked practically everything inside. For weeks and months, the property was labelled “uninhabitable” while renovations were underway.
In addition, the neighbour was charged more than $42,000 (Rs 37 lakh) for removing damaged goods and installing dehumidifiers. They contend that they should not be required to pay for these expenses because the problem began in Rocky’s unit. They want full reimbursement for damaged goods, additional living expenses, and cleanup charges because the water originated from Rocky’s apartment.

Lawyers for Chez Ni LLC have stated that the incident displaced their client and others in the building for weeks, beginning on Christmas Eve. The residents expect Rocky, his staff, and those involved to assume responsibility so that repairs and compensation may be completed. The complaint asks Rocky and the condo board to pay for all flood-related damages.
