It is bad news for BLACKPINK’s Lisa’s fans as they won’t be able to see their favourite idol at the Miss Universe 2025 stage. The renowned K-Pop star has officially turned down the offer to perform at this year’s grand finale event set in Thailand. However, the discussions between the Miss Universe and Lisa’s overseas team came to be quite challenging. They explained that her schedule for the year was already filled with many upcoming projects.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa Denied Miss Universe Performance
According to Nawat Itsaragrisil, the newly appointed CEO of the Miss Universe Organisation, Lisa was personally invited to headline the event. Given her fame and roots in Thailand, they thought she would be perfect for the event. However, while the organisers remained hopeful, the deal ultimately fell through. After their extensive communication attempts, her representatives declined the offer, citing scheduling issues as the primary reason.
Lisa’s team claimed that her calendar for the year was already booked with several planned projects, making it impossible for her to change her schedule to accommodate the Miss Universe event. Despite the organisers’ efforts to find a workable arrangement, the BLACKPINK member’s prior commitments came first.
