Here’s Why Karan Johar Regrets Making Ok Jaanu Starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor!

Some films don’t need remakes and that’s a hard truth. However, some of them do perform really well. Director Karan Johar who is into the film business since a long time has revealed that he should not have produced Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor’s Ok Jaanu. The film is a remake of the South Indian film Ok Kanmani, directed by Mani Ratnam. KJo praised the film’s team but also accepted that he regrets making the film.
What Did Karan Johar Say?
Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions creates some beautiful stories for the big and small screens. However, like every other profession, KJo too must have had his moments of regrets. He spoke about one in the latest conversation Jay Shetty. He opened up about Ok Jaanu and revealed that he regrets making the remake. The director said that he got a great team with two talented leads- Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, a great director Shaad Ali, but his instincts still made him question the decision. Karan Johar added that he always listens to instincts before taking decisions but continues to still ignore them at times, and that according to him has not worked mostly.
Karan Johar appreciated the team of Ok Jaanu and said that everyone had done their jobs well but it was just him who had not acted upon his instincts.

For the unversed, Ok Jaanu had released on January 13, 2017 but it failed to perform well at the box office, and was considered a flop. Although many fans still loved the onscreen jodi who had recently become famous from Aashiqui 2.
