Hema Malini Says Dharmendra’s Final Goodbye Was Silent And It’s Truly Gut-Wrenching!

Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra recently passed away on November 24, 2025. He had a silent funeral at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai, and it was attended by his family, friends, and many industry acquaintances. And unlike other popular stars, he didn’t receive any state honours, and the secrecy around his death left his fans hurt. Here’s what Hema Malini had to say about it.

Dharmendra’s fan and acquaintance, Hamad Al Reyami, a UAE native, was extremely close to the late actor. Hamad took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with Hema when visiting her to express his sympathies to the family. In his essay, Hamid described Hema’s state after losing the love of her life, Dharmendra. Hamad stated that she appeared distraught and absorbed in pain.

During their conversation, Malini said, “Dharminder, throughout his life, never wanted to be seen weak or sick. He was hiding his pain even from the closest people. After the person leaves, the decision remains in the hands of the family.” In his chat with Hema, Hamad said that she begged Dharmendra to publish his wonderful poems, to which he replied that he had a few more to write. The actress then remarked that his words would never be published, and that strangers would now have access to his poetry.

In her chat, Hema also discussed Dharmendra’s final days and how it saddened his loved ones. When she spoke with Hamad, she stated her desire to visit the farm where he had been with Dharmendra two months earlier and see him.

Despite being one of the most popular and well-known celebrities, Dharmendra did not receive any state honours. The news of Dharmendra’s death made headlines at about 1 p.m. on November 24, 2025. The family was already prepared for the final rituals, denying his followers the opportunity to pay their respects to the much-loved performer.
