On Thursday, November 27, Hema Malini took to her X (Formerly Twitter) account and wrote, “Dharam ji (heart emoji). He was many things to me. Loving husband, adoring father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, friend, philosopher, guide, poet, my ‘go to’ person in all times of need – in fact, he was everything to me! And always has been through good times and bad.” The actress shared that he quickly became loved by her family because of his warmth, easygoing nature.

She said that as a public figure, with immense talent, a grounded nature, and despite fame, he stood out as an icon like no other. During a chat with News18, actress Ameesha Patel recalled visiting Dharmendra at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital when he was admitted due to respiratory problems. She revealed how the mood was very stressful, and many industry veterans like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Govinda came to visit him just like her, to convey silent support. She also recalled hugging co-star and friend Sunny Deol during the visit as he appeared devastated, trying to fathom his dad’s critical condition. We wish the family strength and love.
