On March 10, 2026, ENHYPEN’s company announced that Heeseung would be departing from the ‘Bite Me’ group to pursue solo endeavours under BELIFT. Fans were shocked, and many refused to believe this decision. Several ENGENEs believed the singer was forced into this, especially since it implied unfinished group activities.

Most recently, fans who were meant to attend the group’s online fansign event received emails informing them that Heeseung’s event would be “put off”. This meant that the other six members would still have their video calls as planned. ENGENEs were equal parts confused and heartbroken when they heard this. It made the solo announcement more real.
