Nowadays, there are so many conversations happening around sisterhood and feminism, and women are all for it. However, there is also another side to this picture and Heeramandi star Richa Chadha opened up about the same. She opened up about her “terrible experiences” with female co-actors and female producers. She spoke about some of them being feminists and also shed light on their competitive nature.
What Did Richa Chadha Say?
Richa Chadha recently appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi on Netflix. The actor gave many interviews during the promotion. During one of her interviews, she spoke about the female co-stars and producers who pretend to be fake feminists. The Heeramandi star said that all women are not saints. She further spoke about female producers whose cheques have bounced but they pretend to be woke feminists on Twitter. The actress shed light on working with female co-stars who were competing with her and she also recalled moments when they did not give her the right cues, as per the interview with News 18. Talking about sisterhood, the actress said that it exists but also requires efforts from both sides.

Richa Chadha also spoke about knowing women who are hard-core anti-feminists and misogynists while men who are feminists. The actress wanted to clarify that this approach is not dependent on gender. She also opined on women in power who take sides with rapists and called them “vile”. The actress also said that such women also get platforms from the media to keep their opinions.
Richa Chadha’s opinion makes sense, and we too must have had the experience of being around such women whose take on feminism is quite pretentious.
