The recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam has shaken the country and increased tensions between India and Pakistan again. Bearing the brunt of it all are celebrities from Pakistan, who yet again have been facing a ban by the Indian government. Just after the attack, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s film–Abir Gulaal was barred from release in India, citing growing tensions between the two countries. Soon after, many celebrities from Pakistan, sent out messages of condolences, amid the terror attack. Not only that, but the Indian government also took further action by banning Pakistani actors from working in Indian films.

Well, this did come as a shocker for one of Pakistan’s leading actresses–Hania Aamir, who was gearing up for her debut in India with Diljit Dosanjh’s Sardaarji 3. Following the ban, Pakistani celebrity accounts also faced a ban in India, with Indian Instagrammers losing access to their accounts. Amid all the chaos, Hania Aamir allegedly shared a message on her Instagram stories, with a special request for Prime Minister Modi. In the message, Aamir wrote–”Just because of General Asim Munir’s actions in Kashmir, the entire Pakistani entertainment industry has been banned in India, and even social media accounts are being restricted.” She further wrote how the actions of the Pakistani military are affecting the careers of Pakistani celebrities, and it isn’t right. She added–”We, the common people of Pakistan, have done nothing wrong to India.”
