Indian fans of some popular Pakistani artists were disheartened after their favourite celebrity’s Instagram handle became unavailable following the Pahalgam Terror Attack. Hania Aamir’s account was also on this list. However, just after this happened, a post claiming to be Hania’s official statement on the incident went viral on social media. It included some controversial statements, and many fans were quick to say that it was fake. Well, it indeed was. What Did Hania Aamir Say?
Well, a Twitter account shared the screenshots of Hania Aamir’s clarification on the viral social media post claiming she requested the Prime Minister of India to restore the Instagram accounts of Pakistani artists. In the clarification post, the actor firmly stated that no such statements were made by her and that she did not endorse the words used in that statement. She further added that the fake post was only misrepresenting her and her beliefs.
Hania Aamir also reiterated her condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the horrifying terror attack. She spoke about being compassionate and empathetic during these tough times instead of politicising the situation. Hania Aamir also reminded people that the actions of extremist groups do not represent an entire nation. Talking about the fake post, the actress wrote that such blame without any proof only ‘deepens the divide’ and acts as a distraction from the real issue.
