Hailey Bieber Recalls Doctor’s Warning Before “Surprise” Pregnancy, Deets Inside

Hailey Bieber recently shocked everyone after revealing her medical diagnosis before conceiving her and Justin Bieber’s first child, Jack Blues Bieber. The entrepreneur revealed that she was diagnosed with a uterine septum, which her doctors warned could potentially cause complications during pregnancy. However, it didn’t turn out to be a risk for Hailey. Here’s all you need to know about her experience.

Hailey Bieber On Pregnancy Risk

Hailey Bieber recently appeared on the SHE MD podcast, during which she revealed that her pregnancy was not planned but a surprise. Looking back at her journey, the entrepreneur revealed how OB/GYN and podcast co-host Thais Aliabadi previously warned about the potential pregnancy risks because of the uterine septum, which is a thin wall dividing the uterine cavity. Hailey mentioned that the doctor kept on saying that they need to keep an eye on it before she conceives, as it can potentially be an issue. Hailey also mentioned that surgery was also on the table as one of the options in the future.

On the podcast, Dr Aliabadi shared that it is a congenital condition affecting 1 to 3 percent of women, adding that the severity can range from mild to severe, which depends on the size of the tissue wall. When it came to the entrepreneur, it was considered moderate with a high risk of miscarriage. The doctor mentioned that Hailey had a 25 to 40 percent risk with a 10 to 20 percent chance of preterm delivery.

Luckily, Everything Worked Out

During the conversation, Hailey Bieber stated that she believed that everything would work out. Dr Aliabadi shared that despite everything, Hailey remained optimistic and calm. At the time, the doctor took her PreTRM Test, a blood test that assesses the risk of delivering the child before 37 weeks. The entrepreneur tested low risk. Reflecting on that time, Hailey was convinced that she was going into labour early because of her mom’s history. However, her body had its own plan. Luckily, as Jack Blues grew in the womb, Hailey’s uterine septum expanded in a manner that made the pregnancy safe for both of them.

For the unversed, the entrepreneur and Justin Bieber welcomed Jack Blue back in 2024.
