Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber had been making headlines due to the alleged drift in their marriage. The duo welcomed their first baby, Jack Blues, last year, and now, the entrepreneur opened up about all the controversies surrounding her life as well as her tough postpartum journey. Hailey recalled a near-death experience during her pregnancy and seeing news about her divorce at the same time.
What Hailey Bieber Said
During a recent conversation with Vogue, Hailey Bieber recalled a near-death experience during her pregnancy. She said that the doctors had to induce labour after she experienced a fluid leakage in her 39th week of pregnancy. She said, “The doctors used a trigger for contractions and a Foley balloon, a catheter-like device inserted into the uterus and inflated with a saline solution to dilate the cervix.”
But things went south when she experienced a postpartum haemorrhage, which one in five women experience. If not handled immediately, it could lead to organ failure or even death. But after her son Jack arrived, she was relieved to know that he was healthy. According to Hailey, giving birth was the hardest thing she had done.
After this, Bieber recalled dealing with postpartum dysmorphia, where people start hating their bodies. In her case, it reached its limits when she would go to tabloids and news to read negative things about her marriage and hate speech. She stated her frustration with reading about her ‘divorce’ with her husband Justin Bieber at a time when she was vulnerable.
