In a shocking and disturbing incident, recent reports revealed that late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s statue in Dabwali, Haryana, was shot. The attack left many fans and well-wishers shocked and sad, including his mother. The late singer’s mother, Charan Kaur, expressed her grief with a long post on Instagram. Read on to know.
Shots Fired At Late Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moosewala’s Statue
She wrote the post in Punjabi and added that the act was an attack on her son’s legacy and left her heartbroken. The late singer’s mother called the shooting a painful blow to her soul and added that her son’s enemies continued to target him even after his death.
Charan Kaur then mentioned how Sidhu Moosewala played a big role and was the voice for people and hence the efforts to silence him would fail. His mother also stated that Sidhu Moosewala will live on in the hearts of his fans.
And lastly, she addressed the attackers and simply and firmly stated that justice would eventually prevail, and their silence did not mean defeat.
For the unversed, the late singer’s statue was unveiled last year by Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) state president Digvijay Chautala. The statue was a tribute to Sidhu Moosewala’s impact.
However, one day, unknown attackers fired at it and caused visible damage. It caused havoc as many images of the damaged statue surfaced on the internet. Fans were furious upon finding out and felt that it was an insult.
As per Live Hindustan, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the attack. They announced it through a social media post and also warned people who were behind the installation of the statue.

Furthermore, Goldy Dhillon and Arzoo Bishnoi, who are reportedly a part of the gang slammed Digvijay Chautala and Gagan Khokri for honouring the singer and asked them to install statues for Bhagat Singh instead. The incident has left Sidhu Moosewala’s family and fans in disbelief.
Sidhu Moosewala, a renowned Punjabi singer known for his lyricism and influence, was tragically killed on May 29, 2022, in Mansa, Punjab.
