What Did Gulshan Devaiah Say?
The Ulajh star Gulshan Devaiah took to his Twitter handle to share his opinion on the appeal made in Vinesh Phogat’s disqualification from the Paris Olympics. He expressed his wish to have the appeal in Vinesh Phogat’s favour but also added that it would be unfair to the other athletes who have been disqualified under the same circumstance. However, Gulshan further extended his support to the athlete and hoped for the best. The Ulajh actor also expressed his concerns for Vinesh Phogat and his team and how the situation would be devastating for them. He called her a ‘champ’ and ended the tweet with Vande Mataram.
Emotionally I hope an appeal is accepted & Vinesh is awarded the Silver but I also feel it’s unfair on every other athlete who’s been disqualified earlier under the same circumstances. I’m deciding to accept it and move on but it’s not really about how I feel. This must be… pic.twitter.com/679wzTnxAX

Many Twitter users were not happy with Gulshan Devaiah’s opinion and asked him to mention the names of athletes who had been disqualified under the same circumstance. However, some also called it a justified opinion.
On the other hand, Vinesh Phogat has announced her retirement from wrestling. Her uncle Mahavir Phogat has stated that he will talk to her for some reconsideration and hopes that she competes in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. We hope that a fair decision is made in Vinesh Phogat’s case. The decision is going to be announced today.
