Soon one of the biggest award nights is going to make headlines. Yes, it’s the popular Grammy Awards. However, this time, the awards will not just honour the great musicians and their craft, but with the addition of a new category, they will also acknowledge the work of art directors and other creative people associated with the albums. Read on to know more about this.
New Category At Grammys!
For the first time in 50 years, a new category has been introduced in the Grammy Awards, and it’s for the album cover art. This category will go beyond just honouring the work of the musicians and will recognise the contribution of art directors, designers, illustrators, and photographers, basically everyone involved in the creative process of designing the visuals of the particular album.
This year, the nominations includes covers of ‘Moisturizer‘ by Wet Leg, ‘Deb Tirar Ms Fotos’ by Bad Bunny, and ‘Chromakopia’ by Luis Panch Perez and Shaun Llewellyn and Djo’s ‘The Crux.’ This category will give recognition to other creative people who are a part of the album too.

The nominations at the Grammys Awards this year includes names like-Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, and Leon Thomas. Doechii, SZA, Tyler, The Creator have also been nominated. For the unversed, the first time are Rose and Tate McRae. The Grammys will be taking place on February 1 in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena.
