After the meteoric success of his last drama, When Life Gives You Tangerines, Park Bo Gum is all set to lead the new action comedy K-drama Good Boy along with cast members Kim So Hyun, Lee Sang Yi, Heo Sung Tae, and Tae Won Seok. The drama boasts a stellar cast, with Park Bo Gum solidifying his status as a beloved actor through acclaimed roles in popular K-dramas like Reply 1988, Love in the Moonlight, and Record of Youth. Former child actress Kim So Hyun has also made her mark in the industry with standout performances in The Tale of Nokdu and Bring It On, Ghost.
The story follows Yun Dong Ju (Park Bo gum), a former gold medal boxer whose career ends after an unfair expulsion from his team. He finds a second chance through special recruitment into the Korean police force, where he meets fellow officer Ji Han-na (Kim So Hyun). There, Dong Ju also meets silver medalist Kim Jong-hyeon (Lee Sang Yi) and other fellow members who together form an unconventional police team to combat organised crime rings.
Good Boy is directed by Sim Na-yeon, who is known for hit series Beyond Evil and The Good Bad Mother and written by Lee Dae-il, who wrote Life on Mars and Bring It On, Ghost.
The action crime K-drama will premiere on May 31, with new episodes releasing weekly on Saturdays and Sundays. It will be available to stream on Amazon’s Prime Video.
