The prestigious Golden Globes Awards 2026 took place on January 12, Monday and it was a of course, a star-studded affair. All the extremely talented artists gathered under one roof to celebrate cinema, art and legacy. The evening was dedicated to the honouring the exceptional performances, films and shows of 2025. Best Actor Male (Musical Or Comedy)
There are no questions asked here! Timothée Chalamet won the Best Actor award (Musical or Comedy) for his performance in Marty Supreme. The other actors nominated in this category were George Clooney, Leonardo Di Caprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawk (Blue Moon), Lee Byung-Hun (No Other Choice) and Jesse Plemons (Bugonia).
Best Actor Female (Musical Or Comedy)
Rose Byrne bagged this award for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. Cynthia Erivo, Kate Hudson, Amanda Seyfried, Emma Stone and Chase Infinity received nominations in this category.
Best Actor Male (Drama)
Wagner Moura was honoured in this category for The Secret Agent. He was competing against actors like Jeremy Allen White, Joel Edgerton, Oscar Isaac, Dwayne Johnson and Michael B Jordan.
Best Actor Female (Drama)
Hamnet star Jesse Buckley won the Best Actress award. The actors nominated in this category were Jennifer Lawrence (Die My Love), Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), Julia Roberts (After the Hunt), Tessa Thompson, (Hedda), Eva Victor (Sorry, Baby).
Best Film (Drama)
Hamnet bagged the Best Film award and it was up against films like It Was Just An Accident, The Secret Agent, Sinners and Sentimental Value.
Best Television Series (Musical Or Comedy)
Another well-deserving award! The Studio won in this category. Other shows that received nominations were- The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders In The Building and Nobody Wants This.
Best Limited Television Series
If you have still not watched this series, you are missing out on some mind-blowing content. Owen Cooper starrer Adolescence won the Best Limited Television Series. The other shows nominated in this category were- All Her Fault, Black Mirror, The Beast In Me, Dying For Sex and The Girlfriend.
Best Film (Animated)
One of the most loved animated films of 2025 KPop Demon Hunters won the awards. The other nominations were Little Amélie, Zootopia 2, Elio, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle and Arco.

Best Supporting Male Actor (Television)
Owen Cooper for Adolescence bagged this award. Another praiseworthy performance by the actor which also made him the younger Golden Globes winner.

Stephen Graham, again for Adolescence won in this category.
Best Female Actor In Limited Television Series
Dying For Sex star Michelle Williams won the Best Female Actor in Limited Television Series. Claire Danes, Robin Wright, Rashida Jones, Amanda Seyfried, and Sarah Snook were nominated in this category.
Best Director (Film)
Paul Thomas Anderson won the Best Director Award for One Battle After Another.
