The 82nd edition of the prestigious Golden Globes Awards occurred at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. For the unversed, All We Imagine As Light, an Indian film by Payal Kapadia had also won two nominations, however, the film couldn’t bag any wins in the two categories. Nevertheless, it’s still a moment of pride for us, and some well-deserving films won the Golden Globes. Among them are Emilia Pérez and The Brutalist. Here’s a full list of the winners.
Best Motion Pictures
Emilia Pérez won big in this category. It’s a Spanish film directed by Jacques Audiard. Emilia Perez stars Zoe Saldana, Karla Sofia Gascon and Selena Gomez. Other films nominated in this category were ANORA, The Substance, A Real Pain, Wicked and Challengers.
Best Motion Pictures (Non-English Language Film)
All We Imagine As Light was nominated in this category but lost to Emilia Pérez.
Best Performance By An Actress In Motion Pictures
Fernanda Torres in I Am Still Here won in this category. Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman Tilda Swinton, Pamela Anderson and Angelina Jolie were also nominated in the category.
Best Performance By An Actor In Motion Pictures
Adrien Brody was honoured with the Golden Globes Award in this category for his brilliant performance in The Brutalist. Other actors competing in this category were Timothee Chalamet, Daniel Craig, Colman Domingo, Ralph Fiennes and Sebastian Stan.
Best Performance By Actress In Motion Pictures- Musical Or Comedy
This award was won by the most deserving Demi Moore for her impactful performance in The Substance. Zendaya and Amy Adams among others were also nominated in this category.
Best Performance By Actor In Motion Pictures- Musical Or Comedy
The winner in this category was Sebastian Stan for A Different Man.
Best Director- Motion Pictures
The Brutalist director Brady Corbet won in this category. Other directors nominated were Edward Berger (Conclave), Coralia Fargeat (The Substance), Sean Baker (ANORA), and Jacques Audiard (Emilia Perez).
