Go Kyung Pyo Teases A Reply 1988 Cast Reunion For It’s 10 Year Anniversary!

Fans wonder if former couple Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol will be joining the reunion.

Reply 1988 is one of the most beloved K-dramas. Everyone who has watched the show has a soft spot for it. A K-drama about friendship, nostalgia, and family has forever cemented its position as one of the greatest coming-of-age shows ever made. And now, nearly a decade after its release, it has been revealed that the cast might be preparing for a reunion! A cast member of Reply 1988, Go Kyung Po, recently talked about upcoming reunion plans on his YouTube show, and here’s all you need to know about it.

On July 20, for his YouTube show, Cheerful Mr. Kyung Pyo, Go Kyung Po visited a soba noodle restaurant. There, he reminisced about the days when he used to come to the same restaurant with his Reply 1988 cast members, like Park Bo Gum, Ahn Jae Hong, Ryu Hye Young, and Hyeri.

The production team then asked Kyung Po if he still maintains contact with the cast, and the actor responded that they make efforts to reunite at least once a year as a group. He also shared that he will be meeting up with the cast next week, for the K-drama’s 10-year anniversary, and even the K-drama’s director, Shin Won Ho, will be joining them.

While the idea of an entire cast reunion is very exciting for fans of the show, many remain curious about the dynamic between former co-stars Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol. The two actors started developing feelings for each other during the filming of Reply 1988 and confirmed their relationship in 2017. However, they parted ways in 2023 during a public break-up and do not seem to be on good terms.
