The trailer gives us a glimpse of the film’s basic plot. It’s around arranged marriage and how two families cook up some lies about their children just to get them married. The adults in question are Ginny (Medha Shankr) and Sunny (Avinash Tiwary). The film also stars Lillete Dubey, Sudhir Pandey, Govind Namdev, and Gopi Bhalla in pivotal roles. Ginny Wedss Sunny’s trailer also gives a sneak-peek into the chemistry shared between the on-screen couple, but how romance quickly turns tragic once they learn about the lies. There are some hilarious dialogues in the film’s trailer, too, so we should expect some laughs. Written and directed by Prasshant Jha and backed by Vinod Bachchan & Umesh Kumar Bansal, Ginny Weds Sunny 2 looks like an easy-breezy watch.
However, the trailer has almost given us the entire plot, so it will be interesting to see the element of surprise in the film. For the unversed, Ginny Weds Sunny, starring Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam had released in 2020, and it also explored various themes of arranged marriage, love, partnership and more.
Some songs from Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 were also released recently. The film will have a theatrical release on April 22. Fans are excited to see Avinash Tiwary’s return in a romantic film, and their expectations are high!
