FWICE President Demands Screening Of Manoj Bajpayee’s Ghooskhor Pandat Before Release

The announcement of a new Neeraj Panday film starring Manoj Bajpayee was recently made. The film titled Ghooskhor Pandat features the actor in role of a cop and is a based in Delhi. However, much before the release, the film is already facing a lot of backlash for its title. There was also a call for a ban, however, the makers have decided to change the title. But the FWICE President has now made a new demand before the film’s release. Read on.
What Did FWICE President Say?
As per the news reports, the makers have informed the Delhi High Court that they would change the film’s title. However, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) President DN Tiwari has made new demands for the makers. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he firmly stated that changing the title was not enough. Furthermore, he also expressed shock about big names like Manoj Tiwary and Neeraj Panday using the name of community in a title. He has firmly demanded a screening of the film before its release. DN Tiwari also added that the makers should first show the film to the concerned authorities and community and only after their approval, release it. He wants an assurance about how the community is depicted in the film.
The FWICE President also added that if they release it without the approval, then they would simply put a non-cooperation notice for not working with them in future. As per the interview, the FWICE President also said that on talking with the concerned authorities, he learned that the makers had not registered the film’s name otherwise they would have raised the issued at that point.
The Manoj Bajpayee film was announced during the recent Netflix slate 2026.
