It’s voting day in Mumbai today as people flock to their designated booths to cast their votes during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. While many celebrities were spotted in town, at voting booths promoting fans to go vote, actress Gauahar Khan was seen barging out of one booth in a furious manner. Spotted by paparazzi, the actress was restless and heading back home as she couldn’t cast her vote because of some issues. Speaking briefly she told the media that the management is very bad inside these centres.

She later took on to her instagram stories and shared how she couldn’t cast her vote since her name wasn’t on the list. In the video, Khan revealed that many people who were actually not living in the same building as hers had their names on the list, but her name went missing. Speaking about the berserk management, she also appealed to the election commission to allow the usage of an Aadhaar Card as a mark of identification when heading to vote. She mentioned how at one of the centres, she was denied to vote because her name went missing. She added how this made “no sense.”

In further Instagram stories, she declared that she found a centre with her name on the list and could cast her vote. She also shared a post on Instagram with her mother, urging fans to make a serious attempt to go and vote. She wrote in the caption– “Make the effort, Go find your booths, and vote !! Vote now! I had a very confusing and frustrating time to know that my and my family’s names were missing from the address that I have lived at for 9 years.” She added–”The volunteers are doing their best. A bad encounter with one frustrated volunteer should not deter you from voting, GO VOTE!”

Apart from Gauahar Khan, celebrities Kiara Advani, Shah Rukh Khan, and parents-to-be Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh also arrived to vote.
