Gadar 2 Song Khairiyat: Arijit Singh’s Vocals, Sunny Deol’s Performance Give Fans Goosebumps!

Gadar 2 is one of the highly-anticipated films of recent times as fans are excited to see their favourite Sunny paaji AKA Sunny Deol in the role of Tara Singh. Ameesha Patel will reprise her role as Sakina in this sequel. Fans also want to know how will the sequel’s story different from the 2011 classic hit. Amid this chatter, the makers of Gadar 2 have dropped a new song from the film titled Khairiyat. Sung by Arijit Singh & Mithoon, and created and composed by the latter, the lyrics of Khairiyat are penned by Sayeed Quadri. Here are my thoughts about the song.

The song opened with Sunny Deol AKA Tara Singh sitting on a bus and lost in the thoughts of his son. He is reading his letter to him and misses him dearly. The lyrics heard in the background reflect his emotions of how he wants his son to be safe. He prays that may God always protect him and make sure he never encounters danger. The song also gives a peek into the lovely bond Tara, Sakina and their son have as they are seen making fun memories together.

The song speaks to every parent who wishes the same for their child. The beautiful lyrics along with the melodious music might even make one staying away emotional as they remember their parents back home.

As usual, Arijit Singh casts a spell with his vocals in the Khariyat song from Gadar 2. The song ended on the still tat Ameesha Patel gave away a major spoiler about. It is the same scene where Tara Singh is seen kneeling down with tears in his eyes as he is surrounded by the deceased. Even fans have loved this song very much!

Gadar 2 is directed and produced by Anil Sharma and will tell the story of Tara Singh who will go back to Lahore to get his son back amid the “Crush India” campaign. Catch the period drama film in theatres on August 11, 2023.
