FWICE Asks Government To Revoke Diljit Dosanjh’s Passport Over Hania Aamir’s Casting In Sardaar Ji 3
Diljit Dosanjh was extensively criticised online once Hania Aamir's casting was revealed.

Diljit Dosanjh is currently receiving major backlash online for releasing his film Sardaar Ji 3’s trailer featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. And now, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has asked the government of India to blacklist the singer and the makers of the film from the film industry. They also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to confirm to revoke their passports and cancel their Indian citizenship.
FWICE On Diljit Dosanjh
Film industry Workers’ organisation (FWICE) filed a new order against Diljit Dosanjh and fellow Sardaar Ji 3 producers Gunbir Singh Sidhu, Manmord Sidhu, and director Amar Hundal after the film’s trailer showed that Pakistani actor Hania Aamir is in the cast. The Punjabi horror comedy will only be available internationally on Friday. Diljit Dosanjh was extensively criticised online once Hania Aamir’s casting was revealed.

After urging that Sardaar Ji 3 not be released in India, the FWICE issued a second order against Diljit Dosanjh and the Punjabi film’s producers, denouncing them for employing Pakistani star Hania Aamir for the film despite a clear ban on collaborating with Pakistani artistes. In the letter, which was released on Tuesday evening, the federation also asked the authorities to withdraw their passports and Indian citizenship.
The letter read, “We respectfully urge that their passports be revoked without delay, and that they be permanently barred from availing any rights, privileges, or representation associated with Indian citizenship and national identity.” They said that Aamir’s casting was a shameful betrayal when the country was still mourning the lives lost in Pahalgam.
They further added that the Pakistani actress has exploited her platform to criticise our armed personnel, publicly humiliate India, and blatantly legitimise Pakistan’s terror acts following Operation Sindoor.
