From Kareena Kapoor To Ranveer Singh, Celebs Who Paid Tribute To The Legend Zakir Hussain

The world is currently mourning the death of a revered classical musician- Zakir Hussain. On December 15, the famous Tabla player took his last breath in San Fransico due to complications amid idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. While this news hit fans immensely, many celebs, including the likes of Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, and more also shared their grievances on the death of a legend.

Celebs Give Tribute To Zakir Hussain

Kareena Kapoor took to her Instagram stories and shared a picture of herself, her father Randhir Kapoor, and the late Zakir Hussain. The two in the picture were seen shaking hands while Kareena Kapoor stood there. In the caption she wrote, “Maestro forever (red heart emojis).” While Ranveer Singh shared a black-and-white picture of Hussain playing his tabla.

Actor Bhumi Pednekar also shared a similar picture of the legend with the caption, “Maestro. His rhythm will echo in our hearts forever.” Grammy award winner singer Ricky Kej wrote, “One of the greatest musicians and personalities India has ever produced. Along with being the best himself, Zakirji was known for…being responsible for the careers of numerous musicians, who are now forced to reckon with themselves. He was a treasure trove of skill and knowledge and always shared and encouraged the entire music community through collaborations and his actions. His legacy will live on forever, and his influence will be felt for generations. He left us too soon.”

Riteish Deshmukh also shared his tribute to X (Formerly Twitter) saying, “The irreparable loss of Zakir Hussain Sahab is a devastating blow to India and the global music community. Sir, Your music was a gift, a treasure that will continue to inspire and uplift generations to come. Your legacy will live on. May your soul rest in eternal glory, surrounded by the rhythms and melodies. Condolences to the family and loved ones of the legendary Zakir Hussain Sahab.”
