From Janhvi Kapoor To Rupali Ganguly, Stars Condemn Hindu Killings In Bangladesh

In recent days, the brutal killing of Dipu Chandra Das, a Hindu garment factory worker in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, has sparked shock and outrage both in South Asia and across social media. Das was reportedly beaten by a mob, tied to a tree and set on fire over unverified allegations of blasphemy, a video of which went viral and ignited international concern about communal violence and the safety of minority communities in the country. The incident has also triggered protests in India and condemnation from political voices and celebrities like Janhvi Kapoor and Kajal Aggarwal.

Janhvi Kapoor And More React To Bangladesh Killings

Many Indian celebrities have publicly reacted to the lynching and called for solidarity, justice and accountability. Janhvi Kapoor, the Bollywood actress, was one of the first to speak out strongly on social media. In a detailed Instagram condemned the killing as ‘barbaric’ and ‘slaughter,’ warning against silent hypocrisy if such violence fails to stir public outrage. Kapoor stressed that communal discrimination and extremism in any form must be confronted to protect vulnerable lives. Her remarks highlighted the need for broader awareness and human solidarity beyond selective outrage.

Kajal Aggarwal also took to her Instagram stories to share a poster that read “All Eyes On Bangladesh Hindus,” urging people to wake up and not remain silent. Her post was shared widely as a gesture of support for the Hindu minority in Bangladesh, where rising fears over targeted violence have been reported.

Rupali Ganguly strongly criticised the silence surrounding the killing of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh. Speaking exclusively to CNN News18, the actor said it was “time to take a stand,” stressing that remaining quiet in the face of such violence only normalises brutality. Rupali questioned why outrage often depends on geography or religion, like Palestine and said that humanity should come before all divisions.

She also spoke of the suffering of Hindu communities, calling for people to raise their voices and seek justice.
