Bangalore Days is a 2014  coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Anjali Menon. The film features an ensemble cast including Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan and Fahadh Faasil. The film follows the lives of three young people, Aju, Divya and Kuttan, who are cousins, who reach Bangalore to discover and explore their dreams.

2. Kumbalangi Nights

Kumbalangi Nights is a 2019  romantic comedy drama film directed by Madhu C. Narayanan. The film stars Soubin Shahir, Shane Nigam and Fahadh Faasil. Set in a village of Kumbalangi in Kochi, Kerala, the film centres around the strained relationship between four brothers living together in a dysfunctional home.

3. Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela

Translated to An Intermission In the land of Crab, Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela is a 2017 Indian Malayalam-language tragicomedy film directed and co-written by Althaf Salim. The film is based on writer Chandramathi’s memoirs of the same name, which narrates her long fight with cancer. Kurian discovers that his mother has breast cancer supports her through his tragic times.

4. Ennu Ninte Moideen

Ennu Ninte Moideen is a 2015 biographical romantic drama film. It is based on based on the real-life story of Kanchanamala and B. P. Moideen. Set in the 1960s and 70s in Mukkam, Kerala, the film tells the tragic love story of Moideen who belongs to a renowned Muslim family and Kanchana Mala who is the daughter of a Hindu Thiyya aristocratic landlord.

5.  Charlie

Charlie is a 2015 adventure drama film directed by Martin Prakkat and written by Prakkat and Unni R. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy. Tessa runs away from home to avoid getting married and rents a room. She finds a sketchbook of the previous occupant, which reveals an incomplete story, and decides to find the artist.
