In December 2025, the actor-businessman got married to actress Xu Yiyang, a former SM Entertainment trainee. His relationship made him more sensitive to the issues women face. A Chinese company was caught violating proper standards for menstrual products about a year ago. As a result, he decided to start a production company for pads in 2025.
With 150 million sold in over three months, he mentioned the company hasn’t yet broken even. Additionally, Z. Tao, as he is also called, said that transparency and clarity of the automated processes were the brand’s focus. They livestream their factory feed 24/7, and hope to continue doing this as they expand. Tao hopes women and girls feel safe while using his products. After coming under fire for alleged dark spots on the pads, Huang Zitao clarified that these were leftover from the production process and harmless.
While fans were stunned by his appearance on the talk show and the menstrual napkin business, Tao, formerly of EXO, seemed nonchalant. He feels no abashment about his business, he says, frankly discoursing all its aspects. A feminist man who talks the talk and walks the walk. We like!
