Foreigner At Post Malone Concert
On Monday, December 8, things quickly turned intense at the Post Malone Guwahati concert as two foreign women were allegedly touched without their consent within ten minutes of entering the packed area. Emma said that they had to force their way out to move near the vendors, as that’s where they felt safe. She said, “Sadly, because of what happened, we were no longer able to enjoy the concert. This isn’t ‘normal crowd pushing’.

It’s part of a wider issue of violence against women and the way harassment is minimised in public spaces. No concert, no matter how big, should make women choose between enjoying the music and guarding their bodies.” However, this unfortunate incident did not shape her entire experience of the city of Guwahati. She said that they were met with warmth and love from several people during their time in the city.

In the comments, Emma’s friend Amina also revealed that there were people present who helped them escape the situation. She said that some good men defended them and provided safety after what happened. Emma concluded by saying that women deserved to feel safe everywhere, even at concerts, which we hardly agree upon! She said that they had just come to watch Post Malone, but never expected this level of harassment.
