In recent events, an FIR has been filed against Shilpa Shetty-owned Bastian by the Bengaluru police for allegedly operating beyond permitted hours and having late-night parties in violation of rules. This case has been registered after the suo motu complaints under Section 103 of the Karnataka Police Act. It has been filed at the Cubbon Park Police Station since the restaurant is located on St. Mark’s Road in the city. Read to know more about it here.
About Shilpa Shetty’s Bastian
As per reports, Bastian Bengaluru was operating until 1:30 AM on December 11, which is after the stipulated closing time. Police have filed cases against the managers and staff of the establishment for violating the rules. Apart from this, a case has also been lodged against the Sour Berry Pub situated on Residency Road. As part of the probe, statements have been recorded from eight people and members of the pub.
It should be mentioned that the FIR against Bastian came weeks after Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra were charged by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) with allegedly defrauding a Mumbai-based businessman of Rs 60.4 crore in a loan-cum-investment deal. Another unidentified person was charged in connection with the event.

The complainant, Deepak Kothari, claims that the couple cheated him of nearly Rs 60 crore through Shetty and Kundra’s now-defunct company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. According to Kothari, he invested the money between 2015 and 2023 with the intention of growing a business, but the funds were reportedly utilised for personal needs. EOW is currently examining the case. Shilpa and Raj’s counsel had earlier refuted the charges, claiming they were merely civil and had been heard by the NCLT Mumbai on October 4, 2024.
