1. Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra (JioHotstar)
This is the first Indian female superhero film starring Kalyani Priyadarshan. Directed by Dominic Arun, Lokah left me in awe of its fresh storytelling, crisp editing, stylish action sequences and of course, impressive performances. After a long time, I witnessed something as fun and interesting as Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra. And the fact that it was a female superhero film, I was clapping and rooting for the character throughout!
2. Zootopia 2 (Theatre)
Yeh nahi dekha toh kya dekha? Both the kid and the adult in me were happy. I am a huge Zootopia fan and sequel surely did not let me down. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde’s new adventure is wild, funny and entertaining every bit. Definitely don’t miss this one!
3. Dhadak 2 (Netflix)
One of the best Hindi films this year. Period. Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s film sheds light on issues like classism and casteism, and put the message across very impactfully. So much so that the effect stays for quite some time. The direction by Shazia Iqbal is commendable and so are the performances by the cast.

4. The Roses (JioHotstar)
The film is about a couple trying to keep their marriage afloat. It stars Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch. The witty writing of this film needs all the praise. It’s a light-hearted yet deeply moving watch. The lead actors are on fire throughout!

5. Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 2 (Prime Video)
Rishabh Shetty’s film is a piece of art! For everyone who has watched and loved Kantara for its interesting concept and story, you should definitely not miss this one. From the performances to the storytelling, direction and visual impact, everything about Kantara 2 is mesmerising!
