Many celebrities from the industry are opening up about their health issues and how they are coping with them. It is understandable that it is not easy for them to do so because it is difficult to let your millions of fans in on your health condition because as they say ‘jitne much, utni baatein‘! But that is not seeming the case right now. Recently, Fatima Sana Sheikh took to her Instagram to share how she has been dealing with epilepsy and the cure and the medication she is incorporating to feel better.
In a recent ‘ask me anything’ session on Instagram, keeping in mind that November is epilepsy awareness month, Fatima asked her followers to clear their doubts about the disorder. One of her fans asked her how she is dealing with epilepsy, and she responded by sharing that she has a good support system. She also wrote that some days are good while some are not so great!
She was also asked by one of her fans when she was diagnosed with epilepsy, and she responded by saying that it happened when she was training while filming Dangal. Fatima also mentioned how ended up in the hospital because of a seizure.
One of her well-wishers also asked Fatima if suffering from epilepsy will affect her career aspirations in the long run. And to this, the Ludo actress responded by saying that she has to go a bit slow. But she said that she considers herself fortunate to be working with people when that she has been dying to work with. When one of her fans asked her how she manages her work while suffering from epilepsy, the 30-year-old actress said that she informs all the directors she works with of her condition. She also wrote that doing this also helps the directors understand what to do when she gets a seizure.
I am glad that Fatima is destigmatising epilepsy and using her social media as a safe space to address health concerns like these. Sending all the positive vibes her way!
