Fans Enraged At HYBE After ENHYPEN’s Ni-Ki Reveals THIS Shocking Confession During Livestream

K-pop entertainment giant HYBE has once again been accused of abusing its idols after ENHYPEN’s Ni-Ki revealed that he has not returned home since starring on the survival show  I-LAND, almost 6 years ago. During a recent Weverse live, the 19-year-old idol opened up about how long it’s been since he last visited his family in his home country, Japan. The singer also revealed in a heartbreaking confession that he isn’t even sure if his bedroom still exists. Read on to know more.

Why HYBE Is Getting Criticised After ENHYPEN Ni-Ki’s Tearful Confession

In August 2019, 13-year-old Ni-Ki moved from Japan to South Korea alone to train under HYBE’s sub-label BELIFT LAB.  He later participated in I-LAND at 14, eventually debuting with ENHYPEN. This means it has been around five to six years since Ni-Ki last saw his family home. Although the group has travelled to Japan several times for tours and performances, fans argue that this is not sufficient and Ni-Ki deserves a break so he can spend time with his family.

Through ENHYPEN Ni-Ki’s recent live, fans were reminded of the time back in 2021 when Ni-Ki broke down during EN-CONNECT: Companion, a fan meeting, over how much he missed his family. Early in ENHYPEN’s career, travel restrictions due to COVID-19 further complicated visits home, worsening the situation.

The controversy comes just weeks after HYBE faced backlash over comments made by TXT’s Soobin. The K-pop idol revealed that he was physically punished during his trainee days in middle school. Fans are now sparking discussions about the treatment of young idols within the company.

ENHYPEN Ni-Ki’s heartbreaking confession has sparked conversations about the pressures of the K-pop industry and the sacrifices young idols make for their groups to succeed.
