Fans Discover Insane Connection Between Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar And Vicky Kaushal’s Uri. Know Inside!
And as we wait for Dhurandhar 2 to be released in 2026, many fans have come up with intriguing theories that have been on our minds all day.
Bollywood star Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, is getting the well-deserved hype, and fans are having a great time in the theatres. The spy drama stars him as an Indian spy infiltrating terror networks in Pakistan. And as we wait for the next part to be released in 2026, many fans have come up with intriguing theories that have been on our minds all day. One such theory connects this film to Vicky Kaushal’s Uri. Here’s how!
About Dhurandhar, Uri
Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar, is a man picked by the Indian intelligence chief (R Madhavan) to infiltrate Rehman Dakait’s (Akhaye Khanna) gang in Pakistan’s Lyari. And towards the end, we learn that Hamza Singh, a convict, is actually a convict named Jakirat Singh Rangi, who has been given a chance to redeem himself through this mission. However, the name does have some importance. In Uri, a chat between Vicky Kaushal and Kirti Kulhari reveals that her character’s spouse was Captain Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who was killed during an operation.

Many fans have now been linking the two characters, saying that this cannot be a coincidence. They claim that Dhurandhar is connected to Uri, as Jaskirat Singh Rangi has previously been introduced. One user commented, “He’s an Indian spy who infiltrates Pakistan’s underworld to take down a gangster-ISI nexus.” They didn’t want to believe in a coincidence since Aditya Dhar directed both films. Many also opposed this theory, saying that the characters’ timelines did not match.

One user pointed out that Uri happened in 2016, around the time of the surgical strike, but Dhurandhar started from 2002, which are very far apart. Aditya Dhar most likely used the same name as an homage to Uri, with no intention of connecting the actual characters.
