Beloved South Korean actor Lee Jong Suk has been making headlines for his philanthropic activities. The W actor is celebrating the end of the year by making a large donation, along with a warm note. Jong Suk reportedly donated 100 million won to a medical centre that supports people from vulnerable groups. Read on to know more.
Lee Jong Suk Wins Hearts By Making Large Donation At Medical Centre
On December 30, reports revealed that Lee Jong Suk donated a total amount of 100 million won (approximately 62,14,09 INR) to Asan Medical Centre in Seoul. Out of the donation, 50 million won (approximately 31,06,115 INR) were given to the hospital development fund and the other to a fund supporting patients from vulnerable groups.
It has also been revealed that Lee Jong Suk’s donation will be used to build advanced treatment systems that can help in providing a better environment for cancer patients and cover the cost of expensive treatments and surgeries for the underprivileged.
Jong Suk has been consistently making donations to hospitals for three consecutive years now. In 2023, he donated 100 million won to Asan’s Children’s Hospital, and 100 million won to children and vulnerable patients in 2024.
Other than his recent donation, the actor has constantly stepped in to help those in need. From assisting young people to providing resources for international relief and development NGOs, fans love that the actor goes above and beyond to extend a hand of support.
